NEW WESTMINSTER, B.C. – TransLink is encouraging customers to take transit to discover diverse food and beverage destinations around Metro Vancouver, with the return of Dine the Line.

The popular program is back with an expanded travel menu that includes SkyTrain, RapidBus, and SeaBus routes to help customers enjoy even more dining options accessible by transit.

Launched in 2019 with West Coast Food, the initiative encourages transit ridership while promoting local restaurants and breweries in communities across the region.

“Our communities are full of excellent dining options in vibrant neighbourhoods that are all accessible by transit, so we’re encouraging our customers to support local businesses that may have struggled over the last few years,” says TransLink CEO Kevin Quinn. “Dine the Line is the perfect way to get out there to explore and support our cities in a safe, affordable, and sustainable way.”

This year’s Dine the Line features six new unique themes reflecting current culinary trends and worldwide cuisines:

Each theme features a specific itinerary and downloadable route map. Whether grabbing brunch in Langley, going plant-based in Yaletown, or sipping bubble tea in Burnaby, there are plenty of tantalizing trips available by transit.

“Metro Vancouver has long enjoyed a reputation of being a city where globally-inspired culinary talent creates fresh and exciting dining concepts,” says Destination Vancouver President and CEO Royce Chwin. “The Dine the Line itineraries are a great way for diners of all budgets to support our rich culinary communities.”

Load up the Compass Card and take a journey aboard transit to explore your community’s culinary scene. Customers can share their experiences on social media by using #DinetheLine for a chance to win preloaded day passes and gift cards.
